Kovács-Hanka Eszter is a 10 year old little girl.

 

Eszter is in a critical condition, currently waiting for lung transplantation.

 

She is suffering from a condition called cystic fibrosis, which is a genetic sickness caused by genes inherited from both parents. 4 of 10.000 children are born with this condition, and unfortunately this lasts for a lifetime and its treatment is really expensive. It requires continuous antibiotic cure and frequent hospital treatments.

 

Their daughter's sickness both financially and emotionally is hard on the family.

 

Eszter has been the member of our Gyöngyös dojo for quite some time. The Association of IBF Bujutsu-kai Kenshin-ryú supports Eszter and her family as much as we possibly can.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to her family's request the Martial Artists for Children Association

has started to collect donations for Eszter through this website.

 

What they need the most right now is financial support, since at the moment Eszter is waiting for a life saving operation in Vienna, which will be really demanding financially for her family.

 

Even though the operation is supported by the National Health Insurance, there are several additional costs that will be very hard on the family.

These include the all the costs associated with Eszter's recovery in the following one year such as a special diet, and several other expenses such as a sterile accomodation for Eszter in order to ensure that the new lungs after the opetation won't be rejected by her immune system. During this one year - when Eszter will not be able to leave her special, sterile room - even the smallest sickness or infection can be critical. In order to avoid this, the walls and every other surface has to be covered with a special painting that can be disinfected several times a day.

These are just a few examples of the many expences Eszter's family has to face so as to ensure their daughter's recovery.
